Day 2: Reno, NV - Elko, NV

"Jeremy, wake up! We’re going to church!"

"Where is it?"

"It’s 16 minutes away from here walking! Let’s go!"

*An hour and a half and 16 miles later* “Mistakes were made…”

Due to a snag in our Sunday plans, we ended up staying in Reno just a little bit longer than we thought we would. We ended up spending part of the day to take a few pictures of the “biggest little city in the world.”

In front of the big sign!

We spent lunch at Circus Circus’ buffet, which, at about $11, was an AMAZING deal! I also tried one of the slot machines and busted out in 30 seconds…guess you need to put in more than a dollar to have any real fun.

When we finally left Reno and headed out towards Elko, we set out towards (initially) sunny skies with a few clouds in between. Then, this happens:

Departing from Reno, NV: Well, this doesn’t look too bad.

80 miles out: OH GOD STORM OUT OF NOWHERE

5 miles after said storm: It’s sunny again what

18ish miles after: STORM OUT OF NOWHERE AGAIN WHAT

And you repeat the last three all the way to Elko, where apparently half the town is still under renovation. At least the bed and its pillows were fluffy!

Circular Tourism - the act of traveling several times and in the process, seeing where you began from the other side. Updates every other Monday.
